Can't quite believe we are already in October. But it feels autumnal now. On Wednesday my aga was services and lit, and the weather was cold enough outside to activate the heat pump so the radiators were gently warm.
It has been a quiet few days
of catching up on paperwork and beginning to book some things into the diary. Today I did my Pilates on zoom. First time for ages. Maybe I'll brave the village hall next time.
Have been suffering from computer problems, which takes
up so much time. Computer doctor due on Monday afternoon. The little dialogue box which pops up every few minutes cannot be got rid of, and I am presently not getting emails through. Fortunately I can access them through the internet and on my iPad. But it's
a time wasting job. I am also awaiting a plumbing job and fear I must also get a drains man out for a blocked outside drain. My inside decorating and bathroom work is due to start early in the month too. None of this is very thrilling! Picking blackberries
in the sunshine and cutting up my windfalls to make blackberry and apple was more fun!
As for Covid and family, Ida is nearly out of quarantine and Ellie is as well. Tired but ok. Fyfe is still rather under the weather, though his
energy has returned. Don has it now, and Beth feels as though she might have a mild version but so far no positive test. Gus is on a slow road to recovery.. .
I went shopping this afternoon and suddenly there was a roar of sound and it was an incredibly
heavy shower. I got soaked! The plus side was the brilliant, if short lived, rainbow which arced brilliantly in the sky.
